Who can participate?
Anyone, anywhere, can participate. You don't have to consider yourself an artist--- this is about everyone's stories.
What?
Submit only one image. Use whatever image-capturing device you like to record your moment. Submit your image as a jpeg, 72 pixels per inch, at least 500 pixels tall. If you have questions about this, we can help. Please also provide your name, location, and if possible, the time and method by which you received your election information (tv, internet, phonecall from a friend, etc) which will be listed with the image along with notice of copyright. All rights belong to each photographer. Email your work to: calebaencole@gmail.com
When?
Please get your image to us as soon as possible. We will continue to update the site with new images as we receive them but the sooner you get the to us, the better.
Where?
Images will be posted on the website only. If any other opportunities arise to show the images in a different capacity, you will be contacted and asked for permission.
Why?
No matter which candidate you support, this election is one of the most important in recent memory, and no matter who is elected, the course of this nation will be forever changed. One way that we process the world around us is through images, and this project gives us all a chance to react to a pivotal moment in time and share that reaction with others.
Who are you?
We are Caleb Cole and Steph Plourde-Simard, twenty-something recent photo school graduates trying to find our way after school. We have a blog, Existing Light, where we share new work and our thoughts on being emerging photographers. We’d love to hear what you think of what we’re up to. |
